The Sé Catedral Hotel Porto is the first hotel of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand to open in Portugal. It will happen in the city Invicta in the summer of 2021.

The Hilton international hotel chain will strengthen its presence in Portugal, with the opening of a hotel under the Tapestry Collection brand, na cidade do Porto. The Sé Catedral Hotel Porto is owned by Reference Arrojada SA, a subsidiary of the Mercan Group of Companies, and will operate under an agreement to franchising with the Hilton group.

The Sé Catedral Hotel Porto, Tapestry Collection by Hilton vai contar com 77 quartos, um bar, restaurant and parking nearby.

According to Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, Development, EMEA, Hilton group, it will be an impressive debut for the Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Portugal and we are pleased to do so in partnership with the Mercan Group.

The executive added that the Tapestry Collection is gaining momentum in Europe and with new hotels projected in destinations like Paris and Madrid, we could see a significant growth margin across the continent. We hope in particular, that this expansion is driven by the loyalty opportunity, since hotels seek to benefit from visibility before 110 million Hilton Honors members, maintaining the concept of unique experience.

Por sua vez, Jordi Vilanova, president of Referência Arrojada SA and vice president of Mercan Group of Companies, stated that despite the contraction that the tourism sector is experiencing due to the pandemic, we believe that the destination has the potential to continue to attract tourists from all over the world. And we are confident that, with its unique style and privileged location in the cultural center of Porto, this hotel will quickly become a favorite of guests looking for an original and luxurious hospitality service.

The Sé Catedral Hotel Porto, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will join the portfolio of more than 40 distinct properties worldwide. It is the third European brand property to be announced following the agreements for Hilton's Atocha Hotel Madrid Tapestry Collection and Le Belgrand Hotel Paris Champs Elysees, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
