Portal tourist information NOS is case study

No próximo dia 26 de junho, NOS participate in the II World Congress of OMT (World Tourism Organization) Smart Tourist Destinations. The aim is to introduce the platform contribution Portal Tourist Information for Portugal to continue to tread, sustained and structured way, your way as a tourist destination of choice in the digital transformation.

João Ricardo Moreira (na foto), administrator of the US Communications, is speaker at the Smart Talk 'destinations en route to the Digital Transformation', a panel that will discuss the need to create sustainable tourist destinations taking advantage of the capabilities of scanning and other technological advances.

Through this pioneering and innovative tool based on Data Analytics, é possível, identify opportunities and challenges to strengthen the planning strategies and tourism management at national level, regional or local level.

Launched in October, Portal Tourist Information IN was created in order to provide the decision-makers, entities and companies related to the industry of Tourism a practical tool and affordable intelligent management of aggregated and anonymised data on the presence of foreign tourists, flows and forecast demand for Portugal as a tourist destination. Among the indicators available on the platform can access statistical indicators as Pressure, Density and Diversity Tourist, and others like Attraction Lunch and Dinner, Night Retention, Weekenders and Sophistication Digital, and segment by region and municipalities.

The OMT II World Congress of Intelligent Tourist Destinations, held in Oviedo (Astúrias, Espanha), entre 25 e 27 de junho, bringing together international experts from the sector in order to present and discuss new models and strategies for tourism in the twenty-first century based on innovation, technology, sustentabilidade, leadership and accessibility.
