CTP debate new model for Nature tourism

 

A Confederação do Turismo Português (CTP) and the National Council of the environment and sustainable development (CNADS) organize the next day 28, from 9:30, the Colloquium ' Tourism-Nature '. The event will take place at the school of hospitality and tourism of Lisbon.

ctp-256The aim of this symposium is to reflect on the Nature tourism model, that can respond more effectively to the needs of preservation and sustainability of the territory in close conjunction with the socio-economic development of local communities.

Manuel Caldeira Cabral, ministro da Economia, Ana Mendes Godinho, Secretary of State of tourism and Celia Ramos, Secretary of State for spatial planning and nature conservation, entre outros, are some of the personalities who will attend this colloquium.

It should be noted that more than 22% the national territory is covered by protection status, What makes Portugal one of the most ambitious countries in protection of biodiversity, as recognized in the draft Strategy for tourism 2027, presented by the current Government and in public discussion until the end of 2016.
