The tourist routes by boat on the international section of the river Minho will start in the summer., linking the Eurocities Monção and Salvaterra de Miño and Valença to Tui.
This new tourist route is part of the initiative “River Miño – A navigable destination” and is a project that forms part of the INTERREG V-A España Program – Portugal (POCTEP) 2014-2020, with european funds,m having as Portuguese partners the municipalities of Monção and Valença, in the district of Viana do Castelo, and the municipalities of Tui and Salvaterra do Minho, in the province of Pontevedra, in Galicia, Espanha.
The General Directorate for Natural Heritage of the Junta de Galicia is also part of this cross-border project., the Galician Tourism Agency and the regional entity of Porto and North of Portugal Tourism (TPNP).
