Tourism in Portugal should only reach the values of 2019 there to 2023, despite all the efforts that the entities linked to the sector have been carrying out.
This is the estimate of the president of Turismo de Portugal, Luís Araújo, in the presentation, This Monday, in Ponta Delgada of the ‘Reactivate Tourism program. Build the Future’ which was also attended by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques.
– The forecast is that we will reach the numbers of 2019 em 2023, pointed Luís Araújo, arguing that this goal is perfectly possible, embora, obviamente, very subject to the connectivity and mobility conditions of the coming times, adding that the signs are very positive, in terms of vaccination, opening other markets, of resuming normal activity.
Also current indicators, according to the president of Turismo de Portugal, show a huge search for destiny.
With the ‘Reactivate Tourism plan. Building the Future, forecasts are that Portuguese tourism will reach the 27 billion euros of revenue in 2027.
This program is based on four axes – Building the Future, Supporting Companies, Generating Business and Fostering Security.
