SMEs benefit from treasury support up to 31 de Dezembro

Last Thursday's Council of Ministers gave the green light to the creation of the Treasury Support Line for Micro and Small Enterprises with the aim of supporting this type of companies that are in a situation of business crisis.

The support, provided for in the State Budget for 2021, is assigned up to 31 de Dezembro de 2021 in the form of a refundable subsidy.

The beneficiary companies assume the commitment to maintain the number of existing jobs at 1 de Outubro de 2020 for a minimum period of one year after granting the financing, not being able to appeal, During this period, the termination of employment contracts under the collective dismissal modalities, dismissal due to extinction of the job or dismissal due to unsuitability.

Também, with a view to the recapitalization of viable companies affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the capitalization of companies in their initial stages of activity or in the process of growth and consolidation, the Government has just decided on several support measures.

To support viable companies facing solvency issues arising from the pandemic and, simultaneamente, to enforce a relevant reform within the scope of the PRR to promote the capitalization of Portuguese companies, the Capitalization and Resilience Fund is created, which can have a global allocation of 1.300 milhões de euros, managed by Banco Português de Fomento.

The Fund intends to strengthen and quickly and effectively recover the solvency of companies that, being viable in the medium and long term, they see their balance sheets and the markets in which they operate affected by the effects of the pandemic.
