The airline Lufthansa disclosed in a statement, quoted by Efe, that the demand for holiday destinations has been increasing and that this is due to the increase in people vaccinated against covid-19 in several countries.
The German flag carrier also points out that on some routes to Spain, like Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza or Barcelona reserves are higher than in 2019.
Also Eurowings, a low cost do Grupo Lufthansa, reveals that in the last seven days reservations for holiday destinations in Portugal, Grécia, Itália, e Espanha, increased significantly compared to previous weeks.
Long-haul flights to Male (Maldivas), Cancun (México) and Punta Cana (República Dominicana) also saw a strong increase in demand.
In the past two weeks, demand for flights to the United States also increased in the summer.
