China prohibits internet access in hotels of international brand

China, you still have strict rules of control over content available on Internet, can come to put an end to free access to the Internet that so far was enjoyed only in hotels of international brands in China.

With this new rule, the hotel units would be, like any other retail store, subject to the control of the “Great Firewall”, a sophisticated system that prevents access to blocked content online users, as foreign news sites and social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

Regulators warned suppliers of internet networks for hotels stop offering, or help install, virtual private networks (VPNs) Hotel systems, tools that allow users to escape, at least partially, on the internet in China.
Some enterprises of international hotel brands still offer some sites blocked by Government. But it is not known how long.
