With applications open until 8 January next year, the 3rd edition of Call Tourism, com 10 milhões de euros, available for investment in technological and non-technological projects in the field of tourism, was launched this Wednesday by Portugal Ventures, em parceria com o Turismo de Portugal.
In order to boost the recovery of the national tourism sector, that saw its activity drop dramatically during the pandemic, Portugal Ventures in partnership with Turismo de Portugal, opens a new edition of the Call Tourism initiative, to identify investment opportunities in projects, that contribute to the competitiveness of the country's tourism offer, that improve the tourist experience in Portugal or that promote the efficiency of companies in the sector.
Projects from companies located in Portugal are eligible, that contribute to the benefits associated with the SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals, presenting solutions that promote the dematerialization of processes and services, the recycling, reuse and waste reduction (recyclable and bio waste), the integration of clean energies, energy efficiency, water efficiency, and Intelligent mobility.
No próximo dia 21 de Outubro, a webinar will be held to clarify doubts related to the Call application process.
According to the Secretary of State of tourism, Rita Marques, this is another initiative to boost innovative projects. The new normal imposed on us shows the importance of innovation and the development of new solutions, in a sector that has shown its resilience and capacity for reinvention, referiu.
In the previous two editions of Call Tourism, They were received 145 applications, Portugal Ventures having invested in 10 projects for a total amount of 6,3 milhões de euros.
