The Meliá Hotels Group International, absolute leader in the Spanish hotel market, announces the opening of its new resort, the Meliá Salamansa, It will be the fifth hotel of the brand in the archipelago of Cape Verde. The opening is scheduled for 2018.
The five-star resort is located in the village of Salamansa, a fishing zone in the North of the island of São Vicente, one of the westernmost islands of the archipelago of Cape Verde. The capital of the island, Mindelo, welcomes the International Airport Cesária Évora will only 10 minutes away from the hotel.
The new Meliá Salamansa will have 262 quartos, a spa consisting of six swimming pools, In addition to four restaurants, a water sports centre, shops and an area of leisure and entertainment.
The promoter of the project is ITS (Inmobiliaria Salamansa tourist), a private company in Cape Verde that aims to promote the development of infrastructure of STZ, a coastal area owned by the same company that occupies 570 hectares and is located between the Bay of Salamansa and Baía das Gatas.
The Meliá Salamansa will be the fifth hotel of the Meliá Hotels International in Cape Verde and will be operated under the brand name Meliá Hotels & Resorts.
With this new addition, along with the Meliá Dunes, the Meliá Tortuga, the Meliá Llana and Meliá White Sands, the group will have under its management, among the hotels of pipeline operation, 3.140 rooms in Cape Verde.
