Algarve and Madeira among the cheapest for tourists

O Holiday Money Report 2021, that analyzes 46 world tourist destinations, shows that the Algarve and Madeira are on the list of the cheapest in the Eurozone for tourists.

At a time when summer is fast approaching and when vaccination campaigns at an international level reach higher rhythms, tourists start to think which destination to choose to spend their holidays. It's because, many times, it is important not to forget the expenses associated with these trips, it should be noted that the Algarve presents itself as the cheapest destination within the Eurozone for travelers, according to the Holiday Money Report 2021.

O relatório, authored by Post Office Travel Money, shows that the top 3 consists of European countries and that Sunny Beach, na Bulgária, presents itself as the location that offers the least costs for a range consisting of eight typical tourist items (a three-course dinner for two, including wine; a beer bottle; um copo de vinho; a can of Coca-Cola; a big bottle of water; a cup of coffee; a sunscreen; and an insect repellent). For all this, travelers have to pay only 27,71 libras (32,14 euros), this being the lowest value worldwide.

To this destination follows Marmaris, in Turkey. In that location, tourists have to spend 37,19 libras (43,12 euros) by the set of these items. But within the Eurozone, it is the Portuguese region of the Algarve that stands out as being the cheapest for travelers, appearing in the third position of this ranking that proposed to analyze 46 destinos internacionais. Aqui, costs are around 44,13 libras (51,17 euros). One of the reasons that, assim, explain the huge influx of tourists that, every year, travel to the Algarve to spend their holidays.

No top 10 of cheaper destinations, two others are part of the Eurozone, one of which is, he also, português. Efectivamente, Funchal, na Madeira, appears in the tenth position of this listing, when charging 62,11 libras (72,02 euros) tourists for the eight articles referred to. In seventh place is the Costa del Sol, em Espanha, with the costs reaching the 57,96 libras (67,21 euros).

Looking at the bottom of the table, it follows that, por esta ordem, Abu Dhabi e Ras Al Khaimah, both in the UAE, e Reykjavik, in Iceland, are the most expensive for travelers. In each of these locations the costs for tourists are, respectivamente, 159,01 libras (184,38 euros), 141,72 libras (164,33 euros) e 130,34 libras (151,13 euros), for the acquisition of the aforementioned facilities.

This in a year when, according to the information disclosed by the report, prices are down in more than three quarters of the destinations studied.

The Holiday Money Report 2021 it also shows that British tourists consider Portugal as the most valuable destination globally, alongside Greece and Spain, indicators that can, deste modo, give some clues about the tourist destinations that will be privileged this summer by the citizens of the United Kingdom.
