Viseu Dão Lafões launches promotional campaign “Summer starts here”

Com um investimento de 78 mil euros, the Intermunicipal Community (CIM) Viseu Dão Lafões has now launched a promotional campaign, with the motto “Summer starts here”. The initiative has already started on social networks and will continue until the end of September at national level.

In the presentation of the campaign, that took place at the Museu do Caramulo, in Tondela, Nuno Martinho, executive secretary of the Viseu Dão Lafões community, explained that the region has several important tourist products. São intercity-based products that are worth a lot for you, but they are worth much more if all the municipalities, a CIM, have the ability to cross-combine the various basic tourist products to build packages to attract tourists to our territory.

Among the wide palette of base products in the region, gastronomy and wines stand out, where the community is investing in the enhancement of endogenous products, the most emblematic being Serra da Estrela cheese and Dão wine.

Culture and heritage as cultural spaces that we have been working on in our territory and are associated with another product that we have been working on, the routes of Megalithism, as well as networked cultural animation, where we have already invested two million. We also have health and well-being with our spas and nature tourism, also highlighted Nuno Martinho, adding that the campaign intends to affirm more and more the notoriety of the region, recognition as a tourist destination and communication of the main regional attributes of the territory, that has a great diversity.

Por sua vez, the president of CIM Viseu Dão Lafões, Rogério Mota Abrantes, argued that each municipality has its own value.

– Todavia, the value seen one by one is not of great value, but if you add the value of 14 yes municipalities, for sure, is a region where tourists are happy and will stay for a few days.
