COSTA BOAL WINES

Palácio dos Távoras red – Large Reserve

Aging in new French oak barrels where it remains during 14 meses.

Tasting Note:
It presents aromatic complexity, red and black fruits, barrel present more integrated.
in the mouth it is smooth, but it starts to grow thanks to its structure. Good acidity and long finish.

White Côa Flower – Large Reserve
Douro 2017

Winemaking:
Shipping in boxes of 20 Kg, stalk with crush, pre-fermentative maceration during 24 horas, inoculation followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats below 24ºC.

Aging in French oak barrels where it remains during 14 meses.

Tasting Note:
Opaque ruby ​​color. The aroma is rich in complexity, with spicy notes and high purity red fruit.
In the mouth it has a great volume in total balance with the acidity that gives it an elegant and complex character.

CARLOS ALONSO WINES

Reserve Red Piano – Douro

Cor:
Tinto.
Castes:
50% Tinta Roriz, 40% Touriga Nacional, 10% Touriga Franca.
Enólogos:
Jorge Alves, Valter Silva and Fábio Pereira.
Vineyard:
Vineyard located in the heart of Cima-Corgo, in the parish of Castedo do Douro, on the right bank of the Douro, with sun exposure facing south. The vines were planted in single-caste plots between 1991 and 1992;
Winemaking:
It took place between the 3rd and 4th weeks of September, in stainless steel fermentation vats of 12 Tone with temperature control.
All varieties were vinified separately, the fermentation temperature was an average of 28ºC.
Fermentation took time 10 dias, the one that followed most 5 days of post-fermentation maceration.
The wines were stored in small volume vats.
Maturation:
After alcoholic fermentation was completed, it was aged in new barrels for 12 meses, after which time the wine is stabilized, followed by bottling and subsequent aging for 12 months in bottle.

Test results:
Deep ruby ​​colored wine, in the aroma is intense and complex, dominated by ripe red fruits (Strawberry) and black fruits (gooseberry and plum).
In the mouth it reveals an excellent volume, well integrated acidity, good quality tannins, presence of well-marked red fruits, with notes of balsamic and resin. The ending is long and complex.
Service:
Should be served between 14ºC and 16ºC.
Harmonization:
Piano Reserva is intense wine. Also order intense dishes so both can shine. Recommended to accompany game dishes, roasted goat among others.

Piano Moscatel Galego Branco – Douro

Castes:
100% Moscatel Galego Branco.
Enólogos:
Jorge Alves, Valter Silva and Fábio Pereira.
Vineyard:
Vineyard located in the heart of Cima-Corgo, in the parish of Alijó, on the right bank of the Douro, with west facing sun exposure, granite-schist transition soils at an average altitude of 600 metros.
The vines were planted in single-caste plots between 1991 e 1992.
Winemaking:
It took place between the 1st and 2nd weeks of September and the grapes, right at the reception, are protected against oxidation. After de-stemmed, they go to the pneumatic press, where they are gently pressed.
the must stays 24 hours in decantation and when it reaches the desired turbidity, the wine is separated from the lees that, entretanto, graduated.
This clean wort is fermented with the inoculation of selected yeasts and fermentation takes place for approximately 15 dias, always with a controlled temperature so as not to exceed 14°C;
Maturation:
After alcoholic fermentation, the batches age in stainless steel vats to better preserve their freshness and fruit. after that time, the wine is stabilized and filtered, followed by bottling and subsequent stage of 3 months in bottle.

Test results:
Citrus colored, this wine is young with an exuberant aroma with notes of grapefruit, lychees, lime and tropical fruits.
In the mouth it is intense, vibrant, mineral and vibrant freshness, of medium concentration and silky texture. Long and persistent ends.
Service:
Should be consumed between 8ºC and 10ºC;
