Two new lines of financing, com um total de 1.100 milhões de euros, were launched on Monday to support companies affected by the economic consequences of the pandemic crisis, such as tourism, activities related to the assembly of events and also of the industry.
These sectors can, so from now on request bank credit with the possibility of converting up to 20% of the loan in support of lost funds. There are two lines of credit with a total 1100 million euros to support companies affected by the economic consequences of the pandemic crisis.
According to a statement released by Banco Português de Fomento (BPF), these new lines of credit aim to support employment and job maintenance in three sectors strongly affected by the pandemic.
The institution also explains that both lines are available for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMES), including sole proprietors, bem como, para small mid cap e mid cap, in any of the cases with activity in continental national territory, with a maximum operating term of up to six years, incluindo 12 months of capital shortage.
Each company can apply for only one grant, with a maximum ceiling of four thousand euros per proven job, the totality of the operation may not exceed twice the company's annual wage bill or 25% of total annual turnover, em 2019.
To make your application, companies must have their situation regularized with banks, do BPF, or other BPF-related entities, and Tax Administration and Social Security.
Ao mesmo tempo, companies in economic difficulties at the time of 31 de Dezembro de 2019, pre-pandemic period, will not be able to submit their application to the available credit lines.
O ministro da Economia, Pedro Siza Vieira, had announced these lines at the end of 2020, com 750 million euros for industrial exporting companies and those for tourism and 50 millions for companies providing services to event producers. The loan will have to be used at once, within up to 30 days from the date of hiring.
Orders are analyzed by the commercial bank, consulting the plafond accessible to the company on the GMP portal. Within 15 dias, from the online delivery date of the form, the commercial bank will have to inform the GMP of the contracting. If the order is refused by the commercial bank, he will have to communicate this decision to the company.
To commercial banking, who will be responsible for the loan approval decision, according to the determined rules and your risk policy, cannot demand from the client any kind of guarantee or complementary guarantee, whether personal or patrimonial.
Part of the loan may be converted into a non-repayable grant up to a maximum percentage of 20% financing value. This allowance will be calculated according to the maintenance of jobs, at least 12 months after hiring.
This means that the applicant has to declare to the bank the interest in converting credit into capital as soon as it proposes to obtain financing.
Conversion is decided by the GMP, até 30 de Junho de 2021. GMP will assume the payment to the commercial bank, in a single installment, of the amount converted into capital. The converted amount is also determined by the GMP, which is the manager of these credit lines.
