Turismo de Portugal has selected 17 startups, representing an entrepreneurial and innovative universe in tourism, to integrate the Portuguese representation in five international fairs in the next six months.
companies were selected: CORKSUP - Tourism and Animation, Portugal Farm Experience, Optishower, (Temptation Keeper), Infraspeak, Globestamp, Once Upon a Trip, Strayboots (Explore & Hunt, SA), ATB – Ana Bespoke Tours, Hotelvoy (Cjpi Trading), Social Impactrip, Portuguese Table, Upstream - Territorial Enhancement, XN Lifestylegroup, Hijiffy (Horizon Behaviour), GHOTW, Live Eletric Tours e Secret City Trails.
In order to affirm Portugal as a center of international reference in innovation, entrepreneurship and production of goods and services for tourism – one of the goals of the Strategy Tourism 2027 – Turismo de Portugal gives the opportunity to these companies a presence in ABAV (São Paulo), WTM (Londres), Vakantiebuers (Utrecht), FITUR (Madrid) and ITB (Berlim).
Desde 2016, have already been 56 startups to be present in international fairs in Europe Tour, Brazil and Russia, where the Tourism of Portugal had stand próprio.
The national tourist authority thus intends to support the development of resources, the capabilities and the strategy of the tourist companies with a high export potential and innovation, creating opportunities to penetrate external markets and minimizing some of the obstacles directly linked to the process of international promotion
