Without flying for a year, Avianca Brasil goes bankrupt

With its operations suspended for over a year by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) brazilian, the Avianca Brazil, officially called Oceanair Linhas Aéreas, asked to be declared a bankrupt company.

A situation that is also due to the fact that the company has stated that it is no longer able to comply with the Judicial Recovery plan for the payment of creditors and employees.

Agora, Justice will analyze the request that, if approved, will lead the company to liquidation, which is the stage in which all your goods are sold for payment to employees, creditors and suppliers.

Mas, as for goods themselves, very little exists, since Avianca Brasil, just like most modern companies, what I had were rented buildings, aircraft under a 'leasing' regime and outsourced all of its ground support service. Apart from that, few installations remain, some aircraft scraps, no property and little equipment.

The Alvarez office & Marsal was appointed judicial administrator of the company.
