In the first five months of the year, income from tourist accommodation establishments in our country recorded falls in 47,8% in total and of 46,3% room-related, according to data released this Thursday by INE.
Between January and May of 2021, the evolution of income was positive in rural tourism establishments and housing, while at the hotel, total and room income decreased 51,7% e 50,7%, respectivamente (weight of 82,7% e 80,3% in total tourist accommodation, by the same order).
Considering the same variables, the local accommodation establishments (quota 10,3% e 12,3%) showed negative evolutions of 33,7% e 32,5%, while in rural and housing tourism (representativeness 7,2% e 7,4%) were observed growths of 43,5% e 45,4%.
INE also indicates that, no period accounted for, the variation of RevPar stood at -44,0%, with downhill 46,5% Hotels, 37,1% on-site accommodation, more uploads of 21,2% in rural tourism and housing.
In the set of tourist accommodation establishments, the average income per occupied room (ADR) hit 77,6 euros in May.
