The Adaptar Turismo program starts with an allocation of five million euros. Intended to support micro, small and medium-sized companies in this sector to adapt to the post-pandemic reality, and will grant non-refundable support up to 15 mil euros.
The rules, published this friday, in Diário da República details that it aims support tourism companies in their efforts to adapt and invest in their establishments., allowing to adjust the methods of work organization and relationship with customers and suppliers to the post-Covid-19 context.
Assim, projects will be supported with a minimum cost of 2.500 euros and a maximum execution duration of 12 meses, that have not started on the date of submission of the application for support.. Among eligible projects, include, por exemplo, requalification costs, modernization and expansion of existing spaces, including adaptation works, or the acquisition and installation of automatic payment devices, including 'self-check-in' and 'self-check-out' systems, preferably those using 'contactless' technology.
Supports are awarded to non-refundable funds. have a limit of 75% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of 15 thousand euros per company. these ceilings, according to the order, can be extended, in the case of companies that were administratively closed in the context of the pandemic situation and that have their main activity as bars, clubs or amusement parks. In these cases, the support limit is now 85% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of 20 thousand euros per company.
After the application is approved, a decision that is up to Turismo de Portugal, the companies receive an advance of 50% of the approved incentive. The request for final payment must be submitted by the beneficiary within 30 working days after project completion. The amount of support to be made available will be determined based on the statement of expenditure, confirmed by certified accountant or chartered accountant.
The program only admits one application for each company and excludes expenses such as work for their own benefit., the purchase of used goods or recoverable VAT.
Interested parties will be able to apply for this support through an internet form, to be made available by Turismo de Portugal. Decisions on applications are taken within a period of 10 working days after the date of your submission.
