Portugal is present at Fitur

Portugal's return to international tourism fairs begins with our country's presence at Fitur, em Madrid.

The largest tourism fair on the Spanish market and also one of the most important in the sector, is the first international fair to be held in person in a pandemic context and Portugal, who participated uninterruptedly throughout 41 edições, will be present to publicize the quality of its tourism offer and the resilience of national companies.

Assim, from today and until 23 de Maio, em Madrid, Portuguese participation in FITUR has seven Regional Tourism Promotion Agencies and 33 empresas, now installed in the new national stand, situated in the Pavilion 6, that embodies the strategy and brand of destiny.

The Secretary of State of tourism, Rita Marques, and the President of tourism of Portugal, Luís Araújo travels to Fitur where, durante dois dias, will meet with companies and ‘trade’ and visit Portugal’s stand.

Rita Marques talking about Fitur stated that this event is an important moment in the promotion of Destino Portugal in one of its main strategic markets, especially at this time when the demand for proximity destinations reveals a tendency, adding that being the first face-to-face fair in the sector at an international level, this will be an interesting business opportunity for portuguese companies, encouraging the resumption of national tourist activity.
