The Regional Secretary for Transport, Tourism and Energy of the Azores Regional Government stated that the plan “Reactivate Tourism – Build the Future” represents a new future for or sector not country, even in the Azores.
Mário Mota Borges made this statement after meeting in Ponta Delgada, with the Secretary of State of tourism, Rita Marques, and the chairman of the Board of Directors of SATA, Luís Rodrigues, about the recovery of the tourism sector.
Remember that Teatro Micaelense received yesterday (12) the presentation of the plan “Reactivating Tourism – Building the Future”, which focuses on four pillars of action – supporting companies, foster security, generate business and build a future - and it is composed of specific actions, of short, médio e longo prazo.
About this presentation, Mário Mota Borges highlighted that this presentation was one of the first to be carried out in a broad manner., towards mutual collaboration, adding that it was beneficial to explain how the Azores can benefit from this plan to reactivate tourism in the Region.
The Regional Secretary also referred that this is a strategy that is intended to revitalize an entire sector., leaving behind a year and a half of real nightmare.
