Cruise ships return from today, mas…

The movement of cruise passengers is again authorized in the ports of mainland Portugal as, por exemplo, at the Cruise Terminal of the Port of Lisbon, a partir de hoje, dia 17 de Maio.

Assim, from 00:00 on the day 17 de Maio de 2021 and until 11:59 pm of the day 30 de Maio de 2021, boarding is allowed, disembarkation and land permits for passengers and crews of cruise ships in ports located in mainland Portugal, with the exception of passengers whose origin or destination are countries for which only essential journeys are permitted.

No entanto, the Port of Lisbon Administration (APL) recalls that for passengers to benefit from this measure, proof of completion of molecular test by RT-PCR is required, for screening for SARS-VOC-2 infection with negative result, performed on 72 hours prior to the time of embarkation or disembarkation, as the case may be. The proof requirement is not applicable to children under the age of 24 months old.

Por sua vez, the Lisbon Cruise Terminal concessionaire, a Lisbon Cruise Port (LCP), together with the Health Authority and in collaboration with APL, already has a Safety and Hygiene Protocol, which will be reviewed by the authorities involved whenever necessary, ensuring all conditions to resume full operation of the Port of Lisbon in maximum security conditions.

This protocol will work in full articulation with the protocols of the companies and all the entities that intervene in the operation of the ship..
