Christmas markets in Germany

More than 3.000 markets all over the country, in addition to countless gastronomic and cultural events, that attract visitors from all over the world.

Between November and December, overnight stays from international tourists amount to no less than 9,6 milhões.

Of the immense list of markets we can highlight that of Dresden, the oldest in the country, first mentioned in documents in 1434; or Nuremberg, also very old, dating back to the 16th century, and one of the most famous.

Stuttgart is distinguished by its beauty: as 280 stands are carefully decorated and a prize is given to the most beautiful. In Cologne, the most lively takes place next to the Cathedral, UNESCO heritage.

And Berlin… usually hosts about 70 Natal markets! There are them for all tastes, from the very large to the most cozy, from historical to modern. There's even a vegan market, where all delicacies respect this diet and there is no lack of suggestions for sustainable gifts.

Still others are located in very special places, like Ravennaschlucht's (na foto), in the middle of the Black Forest, about half an hour from Friborg.
