During last May, the tourist accommodation sector registered 157,8 mil hóspedes e 324,3 mil dormidas. Ou seja, menos 93,9% e 95,0% than in the same month of 2019.
This is a quick estimate from the National Statistics Institute (INE), which compares with the year-on-year changes in the number of guests and overnight stays in April, when falls from 97,4% e de 97,0%, respectivamente.
Na mesma nota, INE also points out that, in year-on-year terms, residents' overnight stays will have decreased 85,6% (against a drop in 93,0% in April) and non-residents will have decreased 98,1% (against a descent of 98,6% in the previous month).
Another reported data says that in May, cerca de 69,7% of tourist accommodation establishments will have been closed or there was no movement of guests.
