The Barceló Group, After the opinion of the Mexican Competition controller body, acquired the Occidental Hoteles Hotel Chain Management.
It is recalled that in the past day 04 may the Barceló managed a first group shares of Occidental Hoteles, more specifically the shares to minority shareholders held in the capital and that in total represent 42,5% of the total capital of the company.
Posteriormente, Barceló has reached an agreement to acquire the 57,5% remaining held by BBVA Bank.

An authorization has been given and, consequentemente, The Barceló Group is consolidated as the single owner of the Occidental Hoteles Management, that has 4.011 housing units in several properties.
The Occidental Hoteles has 11 hotéis: six in Mexico, two in Dominican Republic, two in Costa Rica and one in Aruba, and two more still operated under management in Colombia and Haiti.
Neste momento, The Barceló is studying a plan of renovation of hotels acquired, whose work may represent an investment between 120 e os 150 milhões de dólares.
Paralelamente, The Barceló Group will review the whole structure of brands owned by Occidental in order to insert them into the current portfolio of Barceló Hotels & Resorts.
