Government approves ‘Reactivate Tourism Plan – Build the Future ’

This Thursday's Council of Ministers approved the ‘Reactivate Tourism Plan – Build the Future ’, establishing measures to stimulate the economy and tourist activity.

The public presentation of this plan will be made, hoje, Friday by the Minister of State, of Economy and Digital Transition, Pedro Siza Vieira, and by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques.

Pretende-se, desta forma, exceed the objectives and goals of economic sustainability, environmental and social issues defined in the Tourism Strategy 2027, promoting tourism throughout the year and throughout the territory, in order to find structured responses to mitigate and contain the effects of the pandemic, indicates communiqué from the Council of Ministers. Simultaneamente, the Government will give priority to the issue of air accessibility and mobility, fundamental areas for the competitiveness of the destination.

Or ‘Plan Reactivate or Tourism – Building the Future 'is structured around four pillars of action; support companies, promote security, generate business and build the future, and aims to create more value and contribute significantly to the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (PIB) and for a fairer distribution of wealth.
