FootGolf: Montebelo Golfe opens first course

Montebelo Golf, em Viseu, will now have a FootGolf course, with the “kick-off” to be given the next day 31 de Outubro, date when the new modality becomes available in the Visabeira Turismo field.

FootGolf is a game played with a soccer ball, on golf courses, with the aim of kicking the ball with the foot at different distances, from the starting point (tee), to the hole (ghole), in as few kicks as possible. To achieve this goal it is necessary to combine power and precision, strategically.

The Montebelo FootGolf course has 18 buracos, that correspond to the Buçaço route (buracos 19 a 27) the golf course. It's a Pair 66, with holes Par 3, 4 e 5. That means that to play in the Par of the field, the lap must be completed with 66 "Kicks". The best result is obtained footgolfer (designation of players) that finish the 18 holes with the least number of kicks in the ball.

To finish 18 buracos, the player takes an average of two to three hours.

FootGolf appeared in the Netherlands in 2009, and is played in about 100 países, having already played three world championships.

O dress code do footgolfer consists of golf shorts or shorts and high socks, polo with collar, normal or golf cap and indoor shoes or sneakers for synthetic grass.

After the opening, Montebelo FootGolf will receive the first competition, organized by the Portuguese FootGolf Federation, no dia 14 de Novembro.
