Spain helps tourism sector with 151 millions in investments


For the Citizens party to support the leftist executive in the vote for the extension for another two weeks (de 07 até 20 de junho) the state of emergency in force since 15 last march, the Spanish government will launch 15 June a Tourism Sector Reactivation Plan that foresees state guarantees until 2.500 milhões de euros, to ensure liquidity, e 151 millions in investments.

In a statement sent to newsrooms, the Spanish government says it will approve before 15 de junho an aid plan for tourism and its associated activities, as restoration, hospitality and other tourist activities.

Or plane will include, entre outras, various measures to promote national tourism and will consist of 2.500 million euros in credit lines guaranteed by the State to ensure the liquidity of the sector and 151 million euros of investment in the transformation and digitalization of the sector, as well as the development of health security protocols to ensure that tourism in the country is safe for visitors, workers and the territories that host them.

The closure of the borders decreed last March meant that no foreign tourists arrived in Spain in April and according to the National Statistics Institute (INE) Spanish, international visitor inflows and tourist spending were zero that month.
