The consultant is working with SATA, que, as the TAP, has to present a restructuring plan in Brussels by the end of the year.

It should be noted that SATA received the green light from the European Commission for State aid in the amount of 133 milhões de euros. The regional company, chaired by Luís Rodrigues, there is another challenge ahead, prove that the capital increases made after 2017 are not illegal and have not violated Community rules. The Regional Government of the Azores has until the end of September to clarify the European Commission.

The Azorean state company will have to explain why it considers that the capital injection made since 2017 complied with Community rules and was not public aid, which needed prior approval from the Commission.
