The CarAmigo, in partnership with the Tranquility, launches now in Portugal one response to this problem: rent your car the other when you're not using and fit any recipe instead of just spending.
According to a study by the University of California, for each particular vehicle that you rent to others is taken up 13 other cars on the road, what contributes to reducing CO2 emissions to 54%. This is clearly an effective response to decongest traffic and help in the fight against global warming.
The CarAmigo platform is an innovative initiative that is based on the principle of savings by sharing, where have goods or services available is more important than the possession of the same. Instead of having a vehicle that spends most of time in the garage or on the parking lot, the user / lessee has access to a car that pays only for as long as the uses.
Users are, por um lado, people who live in big cities who have no car but need to use it from time to time and, por outro, the many tourists who visit Portugal, every year.
Notice that the platform is still in version “Beta” by the end of the year. During December you can register vehicles, but still not rent them, possibility to come into being at the beginning of 2017.
